Trousers adopted for the Mounted Rifles in 1846 are Dark Blue wool with an extra layer of wool on the inseam for riding. Fly front design with Side Seam pockets. Cord tie in the back for adjustment. Pewter buttons are sewn on in the double front button pattern for use with our #1907 spenders. All Mounted Rifles enlisted ranks wore a 1-1/4” black wool stripe with yellow cord pipe on either side of the stripe until 1851.
