At left is the 1859 USMC Fatigue Sack or Blouse. This blouse is made using our 12 ounce dark blue wool flannel and is not lined. This pull-over type garment would be considered an "over-shirt" today. Note the collar is in the "down position" on the image at left and turned "up" in the middle image. Features include a stand and fall collar with two hidden buttons (to insure the collar stays up during inclement weather when aboard ship), inset sleeves, plaquet front and USMC brass buttons.
We have even included the special "laundry holes" near the bottom of the side seams. The back is a typical "flat back"- meaning without yoke. The sleeve cuffs are round and do not have buttons. Marine NCO's were permitted to wear the chevrons of their rank on the sleeves of this Sack and were positioned "point up"- see USMC Enlisted Undress Coat.
All USMC uniforms are custom made for each order. Please allow 8 weeks for delivery. Because custom orders are not returnable, please visit our measurement page, and submit your measurements when you order.
