Confederate Field Grade Officer's Frockcoat for Major, Lt Colonel and Colonelis offered either double or single-breasted and made using our quality wool or wooljean fabrics, see the wool sample page for available fabrics. The basic coat includes solid faced collar, cuffs, rear pocket flaps and front edge piping in the branch of service trim color. Click to see Trim Options. Full Colonels have three gold stars on either side of the collar. Lieutenant Colonels have two stars on either side of the collar, and Majors have one star on either side. On the sleeves, three rows of Gold Soutache sleeve braid is available at extra cost. A Deluxe FLAT braid is also available. The coat is lined with black cotton, and the sleeve linings are natural cotton. An inside left breast pocket and pockets in the folds of the skirt with flaps are included. Sleeves are tube style (non-functional) with 3 small buttons per cuff. The skirt is left unhemmed as were most originals, except on Wooljean fabric. Coats made from Wooljean are hemmed to prevent raveling. Per CS Regulations, the double breasted coat has 14 equally spaced large buttons on the front (7 for single-breasted.) Confederate Eagle buttons are supplied, but not sewn on. Some state seal buttons and other optional buttons are available at extra cost. Made in the USA!All Officers Uniforms are custom made.
