Available in Wool or optional Wooljean Fabrics - For Officer's or Enlisted men on horse, the mounted style has an extra layer of fabric in the seat and inner leg area. Typical of Confederate styles- trousers have the split back without cord tie. Side seam pockets are standard. Other custom pocket styles are available at an extra cost.
Trousers should be quite loose in the seat and thigh area, as was style during the period. They also have a 1” higher rise than today’s modern slacks. Legs are not hemmed so that you may hem them the length that you desire. Tin paper backed buttons for fly and suspenders are supplied. Buttonholes, whether machine-sewn or hand-sewn, are done in a color appropriate to the fabric color. Except on Early War militia trousers, leg stripes usually indicated either a sergeant or Officer. Leg stripes of various widths were used as decoration on the trousers of Early War militia units and did not always indicate rank.
All CS Mounted trousers are custom order. Please allow 5-6 weeks for delivery. Because custom orders are not returnable, please visit our measurement page, and submit your measurements when you order.
