#5150  M-1851 to 1871 US Army Sky Blue MOUNTED GREATCOAT- In 1851, the Army changed the color of Enlisted Greatcoats to a light blue color called Sky Blue and added turn down cuffs.  A double breasted model with a stand and fall collar.  The cape for Mounted stayed the same length as the M-1841; that is, to the top of the cuff.  This style was issued to the Mounted Services; Cavalry, Artillery and Dragoons.  Cape is unlined. 

     Our coat is made of quality heavy weight wool with a heavy natural cotton twill body lining that extends below the waist. An optional wool body lining, for the ultimate in warmth, is available at extra cost.   Back has two belts with button for adjustment and a split back seam.  All styles have raw bottom skirt edges, as per originals.  Made in USA!

PLEASE NOTE:  Our address is the address to our factory, we do not have a storefront staffed by sales persons. We are all cutting and sewing uniforms. Our seamstresses are trained to sew, but they are not trained in sales.

If you would like to visit, we are happy to accommodate, but PLEASE! call us 3 to 4 days in advance to schedule an appointment.

This will help us give you the attention and service that you deserve. Walk-in customers are sometimes disappointed after a long drive.
