#1501-Civilian
Tailcoat- This style of coat is probably one of the most impressive
available and is considered very formal evening wear.
Our basic tailcoat features a full cotton lining and same fabric collar and cuffs, however
velvet trim can be added, if desired. This coat is available in either
single or double-breasted version, see options box below.
Made in the USA!
Note that with the short waist length of this
coat the vest shows at the bottom of the coat. This is normal and is the
reason why many vests matched either the trousers or coat so that the
vest would blend in and not be so noticeable at the waistline.
However, with the coat at left, a fancy white brocade vest is paired with
the black coat and helps create a stunning outfit due to the
contrast.
