The 1858 Army Regulations called for Berdan officer's to wear Dark Green trousers with light blue branch of service colored cord welt (piping) in the out seam, since they were still considered to be infantry branch of service.
Later Uniform Regulations changed the piping to be light green. You may choose either the early or later version in the Piping Color choice box below. Best to match the trouser piping to the year of your impression.
