(Cavalry Corporal shown at left; Light Artillery and Signal Service on enlargement). Our model 1872 dress coat is made using our high quality 16 oz deluxe dark blue wool with a natural corset jean body lining, and black skirt lining. Trimmed in yellow for Cavalry, red for Mounted Artillery and Orange for Signal Service. In 1872 this dress coat replaced the 1858 Shelljacket previously worn by the Cavalry and Mounted Artillery. It is a stunning example of the design and style that went into the post Civil War uniforms. Click CHEVRONS to see chevron rank.
