#7323 M-1873 ENLISTED FOOT DRESS COAT- for Hospital Stewards and Ordnance Department.

In 1873, the US Army Uniform Board improved the look of the Dress Coat for the above two service branches by changing the piping to white from the branch of service color previously used in 1872. This greatly enhanced the look of these coats but increased the cost because piping was added in many places where it wasn't used before. The Hospital Steward coat includes the cost of the Half Chevron sewn on. Ordnance does not. Click CHEVRONS to see chevron rank.

Our reproduction is made using our high quality 16 oz deluxe dark blue wool with a natural corset jean body lining. Same basic design as the 1872 Foot style Dress coat but the white piping has been used.

Made in the USA!
